They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds – Family Wellness Retreat (rain date)
Black Girls With Green Thumbs calls mothers from across the Philadelphia region to gather together to release and unwind.
On Saturday, October 21st we invite you and your children to immerse yourself in nature for the 3rd Annual They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds: Family Wellness Retreat.
At the retreat you and your family will:
- be free to let go
- nurture curiosity
- break through loneliness
Together with other women and their children, you will enjoy a beautiful day of restoration and exploration in the woodlands of Philadelphia. During this wellness retreat, families will engage in activities together and apart while enjoying the outdoors:
- Yoga
- African dance & drumming
- Nature walk
- Plant-based cooking class
- Canoeing
They Didn’t Know We Were Seeds is open to mothers, children of all ages (best suited for school age), expectant mothers, grandmothers, and other female guardians or caretakers.
Children 4 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian or responsible older sibling/family member during child-centered activities. Childcare is not available.
Registration: 9:30a-10a | Program begins immediately at 10a
Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please bring reusable water bottles.
