The Wissahickon in October with Andi Wingert, Debbie Hoellein and Jim McClory

Meet at the Walnut Lane Golf Club
(Park in the lot on Magdalena Street, across from the golf club.)
Please join Andi, Debbie, and Jim as they hike the Wissahickon on the last day of October. We’ll see what the park’s flora and fauna look like in mid Autumn and visit some points of interest. The last time we did this route, it was snowing, but we will hope for a beautiful fall day. Expect some rocky ascents and descents. Children 12 years and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult, but no dogs other than service dogs, please.
Distance: 3.5 miles
Level: Difficult (many inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. We ask all event attendees to bring a mask and mask up if a distance of six feet cannot be maintained during the activity. Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain.
