The Wissahickon in June with Debbie Hoellein & Jim McClory

Meet at Forbidden Drive & Northwestern Avenue
Join Debbie and Jim as we hike the Wissahickon in June. We’ll explore the changes in our beautiful park as summer begins and the days are long and warm. Places of historical and natural interest will be on our route as we walk trails on both sides of the creek in the northern part of the park.
Expect some steep and rocky ascents, including Monster Hill. There are some rocky descents also. Children 12 years of age and older are welcome when accompanied by an adult, but no dogs, except for service animals, please. Our route is approximately 3.5-4 miles long.
Distance: 4 miles
Level: Difficult (many inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations.
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
