The Verdict Is In: Reparations Now! An Evening with Omali Yeshitela

An Evening with Chairman Omali Yeshitela, Uhuru Movement and African People’s Socialist Party founder and leader, features his latest book “The Verdict is In: Reparations Now!” with testimonials from the historic1982 First World Tribunal on Reparations for African People in the U.S. As the People’s Advocate, Chairman led 2 days of testimony and a panel of international judges convicted the U.S. government of genocide and found that African people are owed $4.1 trillion in reparations.

This trial kickstarted the reparations movement as we know it today. The book contains powerful testimony from Black Panther leader, Afeni Shakur, historian Leonard Jeffries, Akil Al-Jundi from the Attica resistance movement and many more as well as a current summation of the importance of the movement for reparations to the African community today and the centrality of the struggle for freedom of African people to the creation of a positive future for all humanity.
