The Power of One Voice – PA IPL Film Series

Join PA IPL for our 2023 Summer Film Series on the second Wednesdays of July & September. We will kick off the summer with The Power of One Voice: A 50-Year Perspective on the Life of Rachel Carson, featuring PA IPL Board Member Dr. Patricia DeMarco.
This remarkable film was produced & directed by Mark Dixon, Blue Lens, and executive produced & brought to PA IPL by Dr. Patricia DeMarco. From the Blue Lens website:
A groundbreaking documentary examining the life of Rachel Carson and the profound implications of her environmental work. Perfect for classrooms and community events, this 52-minute film features interviews with Rachel Carson’s adopted son, Roger Christie, her biographer, Linda Lear, and other notable writers, scientists and advocates. By highlighting the power of Carson’s voice, we hope to inspire others to add their voices to this essential conversation.
Dr. DeMarco will lead a discussion about Rachel Carson’s life & the impacts of her work, including where we are today, more than 60 years after Silent Spring was published.
