The world around you is made up of these things. But what do these things say about us? And what will these things say about you and your culture one hundred years from now?
The Culture of Stuff is an introduction to the study of Material Culture.
Barry Rauhauser takes a look at how objects provide us with clues about how the people of the past viewed the world around them.
Barry Rauhauser is the Executive Director of the Historical Society of Montgomery County where he hopes to have an impact on the public’s appreciation of history and their desire to preserve and use local history. Barry is also an avid bicyclist and photographer and frequently stops along his bike rides to photograph old cemeteries and houses.
