The Clay Studio hosts 8th annual Clay Fest, presented by PNC Arts Alive

The Clay Studio welcomes people of all ages for a day of creating art and muddy fun during the 8th annual Clay Fest, presented by PNC Arts Alive. From noon to 5 p.m., guests can participate in a number of free activities for all ages, including hands-on clay projects, wheel throwing demonstrations, a group sculpture extravaganza, picture frame decorating, stop-motion clay animation, an ice cream social, and music. During Clay Fest, Clay Studio artists will lead special ceramic activities, including creating necklaces with teaching artist Nitza Walesca, traditional Ghanaian Pottery techniques with Associate Artist Robin Williams-Turnage, and cup throwing with Guest Artist and Marine Corp vet Ehren Tool. Visitors can also go on self-guided or guided tours of The Clay Studio’s new building. Clay Fest 2023 is a rain or shine event and all activities are free.
The Clay Studio serves as a place where people of all ages can nurture their creativity through clay, and established and emerging artists can come to shape their careers through its internationally-renowned artist residency, exhibitions, and community engagement programs.
