Thanksgiving Appetite Builder with Ted Apple and Eric Dahlberg

The northern parking lot can be accessed by Wises Mill Road, and the southern by Valley Green Road. Overflow parking is in the Upper Lot.
There are bathrooms available for use at the Inn.
Join FOW Trail Ambassadors Ted Apple and Eric Dahlberg for a moderately paced hike on the beautiful trails of the Wissahickon Valley. We will cover between four and six miles (depending on the group and trails chosen) as we enjoy building our appetites for Thanksgiving dinner while viewing the part in the late fall. While the leaves may be mostly gone, this allows for great views of the park and Wissahickon Creek.
Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome as are children 12 and up able to keep the pace.
Hiking boots and poles are strongly recommended. Depending on the weather, trail conditions and water levels, there may be some water crossings. These should be able to be traversed without getting feet wet by going from stone to stone.
Distance: 4-6 miles
Level: Moderate (some inclines and declines, uneven surfaces)
Audience: Ages 12+
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. 
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks.
