TalkDeath’s Cemetery Scavenger Hunt at Mount Moriah Cemetery & Arboretum
TalkDeath’s Cemetery Scavenger Hunt encourages people to appreciate and learn about local cemeteries and their histories through a guided search of the grounds. Community members learn about memorial iconography and history, connect with their community, spend time with friends and loved ones, and reflect on mortality.
At the start time, community members explore the cemetery looking for monuments that match the clues (think headstone symbolism, phrases, dates), take photos with the clues they can find, and upload the photos to TalkDeath online before the end of the hour.
Bring a friend or two, arrive a few minutes before the start time, and enjoy a free outdoor activity that’s perfect for those excited for Halloween, cemetery lovers, historians, spooky appreciators, and neighbors alike!
