All ages are welcome to join us for a reading about Lenape history and changing seasons!
Join us in the sunroom of the Main House for a reading of When The Shadbush Blooms, by Carla Messinger and Susan Katz. This story is told from the point of view of a modern Lenni Lenape girl as she connects with her history by watching the seasons change. There are many plants and animals pictured in this wonderful story that you may recognize on the grounds of Glen Foerd today…including the shadbush itself, also known as the serviceberry!
