Spring Plant Sale

Registration is not required for this event, but we wanted to share the following details with everyone! If you would like to register to receive festival updates you are more than welcome to do so. Please feel free to arrive anytime between the 3:00 – 6:00 window though plants will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enjoy the great outdoors and celebrate the season by attending Haverford College Arboretum’s spring plant sale. We will have a variety of sun and shade perennials and shrubs available. Below are some of the plants we plan on having available:

• Amsonia ‘Blue Ice’ (blue star)
• Aesclepias incarnata (swamp milkweed)
• Callirhoe involucrata (purple poppy mallow)
• Baptisia sphaerocarpa (yellow wild indigo)
• Helleborus Brandywine™ (Lenten rose)
• Heuchera ‘Dale’s Strain’ (alumroot, coral bells)
• Lobelia cardinalis (cardinal flower)
• Lonicera sempervirens ‘Magnifica’ (trumpet honeysuckle, coral honeysuckle)
• Salvia nemorosa ‘Rose Marvel’ (garden sage)
• Nepta grandiflora ‘Summer Magic’ (catmint)
• Syringa x Bloomerang® Dark Purple(reblooming lilac)
• Hypericum kalmianum ‘Gemo’ (St. John’s wort)
• Illicium x ‘Woodland Ruby’ (anise tree)
• Rosa rugosa (rugosa rose)

Cash, check, Apple Pay, and Google Pay will be accepted at the event. This event is intended to be outside and will be rescheduled if extreme inclement weather is predicted. Parking can be found in the South Lot and Facilities Lot, and the plant sale will take place in the nursery area adjacent to the greenhouse complex.
