From bats to birds to bugs, dead trees provide food, shelter, and habitat for an incredible diversity of wildlife. At Stoneleigh, dead and dying trees are transformed into thoughtful and beneficial elements in the landscape, adding unique (and sometimes spooky) beauty to the garden.

Join Stoneleigh Engagement Manager and naturalist Sam Nestory for a lecture about how dead trees add life to our ecosystems, followed by a garden walk to explore how Stoneleigh incorporates these “tree sculptures” into the garden.
