Seed-Saving Workshop and Community Seed Swap

This free community event is hosted by Herbalist Lynn Roberts of Acuity Wellness and the Montgomery County Chapter of Herbalists Without Borders in the greenhouse of the PHS Community Farm at Norristown Farm Park and welcomes growers of all experience levels. As the final harvest approaches and winter is just around the corner, this is the perfect time to gather seeds and begin dreaming about next year’s growing season.

Join us for a hands-on workday in the herb beds to collect, clean, store, and share seeds. Learn the hows and whys of seed saving, with a focus on medicinal herbs that thrive in our region. We’ll cover why seed sovereignty and local adaptation matter for resilient community food and medicine systems and simple seed-saving techniques. Discover basic direct-sow techniques to establish strong plants and set your garden up for success in the spring.
