Saturday Volunteer Service Day

Meeting at the Upper Valley Green Road Parking Lot
This location will require hiking to access from the available parking areas (the Upper VGR Lot will NOT be open to vehicles yet).
Please note that there will be bathroom access at Valley Green Inn during the service day.
Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join us as we prepare for the grand opening of the Valley Green Run Restoration and Bridge!
All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Trail work: carrying and using long-handled tools, moving large rocks
• Invasive plant removal: bending over, using long handled tools
• Litter clean-up
• Hiking up to .25 miles
• Repetitive motions
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you. Detailed information and confirmation of the meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event. If you are hoping to bring a group of 5 or more people, please reach out to us first.
