Roots to Table dinner by FarmerJawn X Charles Pan Fried Chicken

May 30 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join us for a memorable evening at FarmerJawn for a special dinner in collaboration with Charles Pan Fried Chicken.

Step into a summer night full of flavor, legacy, and love as FarmerJawn teams up with the legendary Charles Pan Fried Chicken for our 1st Annual “Roots to Table” Experience—an unforgettable 5-6 course culinary journey that brings the soul of the land straight to your plate.

Join us at FarmerJawn’s Elkins Park Farm, where the air is warm with music, heritage dishes, and laughter. Rooted in culture, this immersive dinner will spotlight the beauty of seasonal, regenerative ingredients, soul food traditions, and a shared table.

Enjoy thoughtfully curated wine pairings + batched cocktails, live music, community vendors, and a few magical surprises. Proceeds from the event will support a local organization (recipient to be announced). This is more than a dinner—it’s a celebration of roots, resilience, and radical joy.

Dress Code: Garden Glow-Up Meets Farm Chic

Fresh from the field, fly for the feast. Think polished overalls, straw hats, summer jumpsuits, breathable cottons, flowy linens, sundresses, wide-brimmed hats, and bold accessories. It’s “farmer meets fashion” with a glow-up.

No sweats, hoodies, or very dark colors, please.

Dress to impress while staying comfortable and stylish—this is a celebration of both roots and style!

About Charles Pan Fried Chicken

Charles Gabriel, the culinary genius behind Charles Pan Fried Chicken, has been serving the Harlem community with his iconic pan-fried chicken since 1990. Born into a family of sharecroppers in North Carolina, Charles learned to cook from his mother and brought his passion for soul food to Harlem, where he began feeding those in need. Known for his expertly seasoned, crispy fried chicken, Charles blends bold flavors with tradition, creating dishes that evoke both comfort and culture.

Chef Quie Slobert, a Harlem native, is the Chief Operating Officer of Charles Pan Fried Chicken. His journey into the culinary world was inspired by his love for food from a young age. Working alongside Charles Gabriel, Chef Quie has played a key role in evolving the legacy of the restaurant, blending innovative cooking techniques with the rich traditions of soul food. His commitment to fresh, local ingredients and his talent for combining traditional and modern flavors make him an essential part of the team.
