Riverside Bike Ride

Meeting at Regal UA Main Street (3720 Main Street)
Parking: There should be plenty of parking in the theater lot. Our location is serviced by the Manayunk/Norristown regional rail and the 9, 27, and 61 buses. See transit map for details.
Bathrooms: We’ll stop to use the restrooms at the Cosmic Cafe about a quarter of the way through our ride.

Join Trail Ambassadors Lisa Kleiman, Jean McWilliams, Sheryl Rose, and Doug Gibson for a 2-wheeled cruise along the Schuylkill River! We’ll meet in Manayunk and then pedal across the Wissahickon Creek, down Kelly Drive past the art museum, along Schuylkill Banks and over the newest section – those cool cable-supported biker/walker bridges right in the river. The return will take us past the art museum and then on MLK Drive and over the Falls Bridge. Total distance: about 17 miles. We guarantee terrific views and river breezes the whole way!
At the end of this ride, we will also offer a 3-4 mile add on along the Wissahickon bike trail to Historic Rittenhouse Town for those interested, returning back to original starting point.
Registration is required for all events so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. This bike ride travels on the Schuylkill River Trail and MLK Drive which are shared with other bikers and with walkers, so safe biking is very important. We ask everyone to wear helmets, turn on your bike’s blinky lights at the start of our ride, bring water, and always watch out for others on the trail.
