Meet us at Picnic Area 9 at 1 PM. After a brief introduction we will break into groups to look for mushrooms. If it is your first time and/or you feel like you need guidance you will be able to follow more experienced members/volunteers. If comfortable hiking alone or with your party, feel free to do so, the more we split up, the more mushrooms we’ll find!
At 3pm we will all meet back at the starting point to identify and talk about what we found and have a little picnic. Feel free to bring a snack or drink, we will also provide light refreshments for everyone.  Please note, cell phone service may be limited in the park.  Close-toed shoes and long pants are recommended due to poison ivy and ticks. Children are welcome to attend. Dogs are also welcome, but we ask you to keep them on leash at all times.
**This event is free and open to everyone. The PMC is funded entirely through donations.
