Richard’s Rambles

FOR ADULTS (18+) AND TEENS AGES 15-17
Slow down and experience the Arboretum with naturalist Dr. Richard Brenner. Explore forests, meadows, streams, and rocky outcrops while learning about wildlife, plants, geology, and history. Each Ramble is shaped by the season, inviting you to notice the details and see the Arboretum with fresh eyes. Come curious, leave inspired.
What to expect:
Check in at the Visitor Center, then meet your guide
2-3 mile, leisurely-paced hike led by an experienced guide
Peaceful woodland scenery
Diverse walking surfaces that include pavement, grass, gravel, and rocky trails
Changes in grade, including steep hills
What to wear & carry:
Dress in layers for the outdoors
Hiking boots with good tread
Insect repellent
Water and snacks
Hiking poles
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
MEMBERS (sign in for your discount!): FREE
NON-MEMBERS: $18 per Adult; $15 per Senior (ages 65+), $10 per Teen (ages 15-17). The fee includes admission, so feel free to stay the day!
GUEST PASS HOLDERS: (for non-members only): FREE. Please give your guest passes to the Visitor Center Associate at check-in, or inform them that you are accompanying a Family or higher-level member as their guest. This program is free with your guest pass admission, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like after the program!
LIBRARY PASS HOLDERS: FREE. Please present your Library Pass to the Visitor Center Associate at check-in for the program. This program is free with your library pass admission, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like after the program!
A registered adult must accompany teens. The fee is for each Adult and each Teen.
