Since 1876, women have played a significant role in every national anniversary. In honor of this history, PHILADELPHIA250, the nonprofit leading the city’s plans for the 250th anniversary in 2026, will recognize the contributions of women to our shared past, present and future by hosting an inspirational evening of conversation with trailblazing women leaders.
Sharing their personal experiences and insight on the importance of leaving your own legacy as a woman and the collective positive impact legacies have on our communities, our featured panelists include:
Carol Tracy, former director of the Women’s Law Project and the Women’s Bicentennial Center of 1976
Dr. Ashley Jordan, President and CEO, African-American Museum in Philadelphia
Michelle Angela Ortiz, Project Director and Lead Artist, Our Market
This event is part of PHILADELPHIA250’s Leave A Legacy program, which reimagines how major anniversaries are recognized in Philadelphia. PHILADELPHIA250’s vision for the 250th is that legacies are 100 percent community-sourced and designed by Philadelphians, for Philadelphians and result in tangible, positive community impact by the 250th in 2026.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
