Visit the Schuylkill Center for an afternoon of environmental art activities as we bid farewell to our exhibition, Slow-Burning Rapture. This event is co-sponsored by the Alliance For Watershed Education’s Art Work Group, which creates opportunities for environmental art projects all over the Delaware River Watershed.
Make prints with artist Talia Greene out of recycled materials, learn how to make an environmental themed mini zine with Amber Art and Design, explore recent Alliance for Watershed Education art projects similar to this exhibition, and learn about the work of local environmental justice artists and organizations in the Philly region. Plus, enjoy some locally sourced libations while viewing our exhibition, which looks at how six contemporary artists are making sense of our ecological past, present and future.
Be sure to bring your E-Waste for our recycling drive, in partnership with PAR Recycle Works, an environmental and criminal justice non-profit that also contributed e-waste to an installation in the exhibition.
