Public Meeting with Hilco Executives on Refinery Redevelopment

Join Philly Thrive for the FIRST in-person public meeting on the historic refinery redevelopment where Hilco executives will be present to listen, answer questions, and work to rebuild transparency & accountability.
We are excited to focus on key issues around the redevelopment in a public forum with real back-and-forth dialogue – including the site cleanup, flood protection plans, community reinvestment through a CBA, and jobs for residents impacted by the site’s history.
It’s been a priority of Philly Thrive’s since Hilco took over in 2020 to have regular in-person public meetings, to ensure genuine repair of the 150+ years of harm the land’s use has caused. After multiple attempts, Philly Thrive and Hilco Redevelopment Partners have managed to come together to hold this August 2023 meeting, with the hopes that it will be the first in a series of ongoing in-person meetings where the developer and the community are in face-to-face conversation.
Come one, come all: join us on August 2nd share your feelings with Hilco, your visions for the future of the refinery site and your neighborhood, and your needs and expectations for public involvement with this project.
