Petals + Purpose – reclaiming city land for flower farming with Terra Luna and the Rodale Institute
Join Elise Hanks, owner of Terra Luna, and Rodale Institute for a tour of Terra Luna Farm in Philadelphia and a conversation on how small-scale urban farms can thrive. We’ll explore creative ways to make unconventional spaces productive, profitable, and pollinator-friendly. We’ll discuss how being rooted in the city opens unique sales connections and engages community members in organic agriculture. Whether you’re a grower, a flower lover, or curious about for-profit farming in the city, you’ll leave with inspiration for how urban farms can be both climate-friendly and profitable. Plus, enjoy refreshments from the farm and local treats!
This event will take place in both Spanish and English with simultaneous interpretation. Spanish-only, English-only, and bilingual speakers are all invited to attend this workshop.
