Pianist, Priscila Navarro leads a guided musical tour of composer Jimmy López’s homage to AfroPeruvian music. Including the premiere of Peru Negro in a two piano, two percussion version featuring six Afro-Peruvian dances in what Lopez calls a “personal desire to assimilate Peruvian folk music” to the point of blending it seamlessly with his own language.
