“People of the Park” Creative Team Talkback + Q&A

Join Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF) and the People of the Park creative team from Olney Culture Lab of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia: Ambrose Liu (founder and project director) and Varissa McMickens Blair (project manager), Paola Nogueras (photography), Carolina Gomez (graphic design), and June Lopez (sound design) to hear about the project’s origins and the process of developing these interactive community park signs.
The team will explain step-by-step how the project blossomed and the team identified the People of the Park interviewees, share sign design iterations, feature behind-the-scenes content, answer all your questions, and more!
People of the Park is a pilot engagement project that has been part of the Tacony Creek Park Master Plan process. TTF partnered with Olney Culture Lab on this unique, beautiful installation designed to showcase and celebrate stories of diverse residents who have a connection to the park. The Master Plan was funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, William Penn Foundation, and the Scattergood Foundation.
