PARK(ing) DAY PHL September 19th
Join the Tacony LAB as we partner with the Tacony CDC and participate in Parking Day Philly! On this one day the numbers of parks throughout Philadelphia increase dramatically when parking spaces become mini-parks! We are transforming the two parking spots in front of our location on Torresdale Avenue into a shaded, family friendly park. Come out and enjoy art activities including facepainting, buttonmaking and snacks!
What is the Tacony LAB Community Arts Center? We are a community art center funded by the City of Philadelphia located in the Northeast section of Philadelphia. We are a program of Mural Arts Philadelphia.
At the Tacony LAB, providing accessible and free art is a priority. We offer free classes for adults and children. Our classes range from fiber arts, drawing and painting, to crafting and more. We provide a safe and inclusive space to work on your projects while receiving support from our attending artists and staff. We encourage you to visit during our open studio hours for a tour of all that our incredible art center packs in. We are excited to invite you to be a part of the developing artist community that we have here!
