In this two-hour workshop participants will be guided to experiment with the Western papermaking process of blow-outs to create a unique layered image. Working with stencils and a hose, students will learn to create an image by subtracting pulp and layering the resulting images. Through this manipulation and juxtaposition of different colored paper pulps participants will create a one of a kind all-paper piece. Participants are encouraged to bring mylar stencils, lace fabrics, or other waterproof objects of their preference to include on their creation. All levels of experience are welcome, no prior experience needed.
