Join us for the opening reception of “The Dark Ages”, an exhibition by celebrated Bahraini artist Ghada Khunji. This series delves into the depths of human experience, exploring themes of identity, memory, and the passage of time through surreal photomontages. Khunji’s work is renowned for capturing the inherent dignity of her subjects, offering profound reflections on both personal and collective narratives.

Ghada Khunji, born in Manama, Bahrain, is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and the International Center of Photography’s Documentary Program in New York. Her career began in fashion photography, evolving into documentary work that has garnered international acclaim, including the Lucie Discovery of the Year Award. Her photographs have been exhibited widely across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, including prestigious venues such as Sotheby’s in London and the Venice Biennale.

“The Dark Ages” invites viewers to engage with Khunji’s introspective journey, reflecting on cultural identity and the human condition. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience her compelling visual narratives firsthand.
