About Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF): We are all about connecting our watershed residents and communities to their creeks! Through hands-on education, stewardship, restoration, and advocacy, we empower our constituents to take care of and improve the impaired waterways across our 30 square miles. Healthy watersheds support healthy communities. Across the TTF Watershed, we implement programs that educate neighbors and stakeholders about clean water issues and how we can all make a difference in our own backyards, parks, and communities.

The River Alive! Learning Trail is an exciting way for families to enjoy green space together while engaging with the natural environment all around them in Tacony Creek Park! Six benches and animal sculptures living along Cayuga Street in Juniata Park connect you to Tacony Creek: fox, fish, turtle, heron, water snake, and a river otter. English/Spanish bilingual signage is displayed for families and young children to learn about water, the animals, and the local watershed. Each sculpture includes an interactive water feature (a spout for the water to flow down) and an animal song, written by City Love and accessed via a QR code, intended to show that the animals are our neighbors and part of the diverse urban community. This environmental education and playful learning experience is based on the River Alive exhibit at the Independence Seaport Museum on a neighborhood scale.
