Jamie DeAngelis is a Philadelphia-based mixed media artist creating vibrant works with second-hand materials. Her process conveys an uplifting message that beauty can be found in unexpected places, and that the creative process is just as important as the final product. Her work is characterized by the use of bright colors that bring vitality to old, often mundane print materials. She received a Bachelors of Studio Art from Rosemont College where she unlocked her love of papermaking, bookmaking, and the pop art vibes of printmaking. Since receiving a Master’s of Science of Arts Administration at Drexel University, she has been inspired while working and volunteering with organizations like Main Line Art Center, Fleisher Art Memorial, Warrior Writers, DaVinci Art Alliance, and Cassie’s Craft Coven.
