ChesLen Preserve is home to the Lost Trail Stream, an exceptional value waterway that originates from springs on the preserve. The Stroud Water Research Center claims this stream to be the cleanest water in the entire Brandywine Creek watershed. Help boost our buffer as we plant 600 native trees along its’ banks, adding to the existing riparian buffer planted in past years. Thank you to the Trees for Watersheds grant program for providing funding for this valuable project.
Natural Lands cares for more than 23,000 acres and 120 miles of trails, and we couldn’t do it without dedicated volunteers and members!
Volunteering with Natural Lands is a great way to learn more about the natural world, give your time to a great cause, and connect with enthusiastic, like-minded people.
