Join our partner and author of Stone Creek, Kate Brandes, for a book talk and creative workshop.
The evening will include a brief introduction about the author and her book, then offer a fun and interactive creative workshop in which you will draw inspiration from where you grew up. This event is open to anyone; you don’t have to be a writer or a “creative” person to participate.
Kate Brandes’ book, Stone Creek, will be available for purchase. A portion of proceeds will go to Mariton. Those who purchase a book at the event will also receive one of Kate’s original botanic prints.
“Kate Brandes’ keenly observed, loving descriptions of the natural world—the birds, trees, and wildflowers of Stone Creek—make a reader understand why her characters are willing to fight to protect it. A well-plotted tale exploring the choices we make to care for the places and people we love, this novel is sure to be a book club favorite.” —Jenn Rossmann, author of The Place You’re Supposed to Laugh
