Main Line to Manayunk: Youth Bike ‘n Bite

The Invitation: Join the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, the National Youth Bike Council, and the Haverford College Center for Peace and Global Citizenship for the Main Line to Manayunk Bike ‘n Bite. The Bike ‘n Bite offers free registration, including a post-ride meal.

The Ride: Depart from the Haverford College Visitor Parking Lot and traverse the Main Line Greenway on low stress routes, arriving at Manayunk via the Manayunk Bridge Trail. Take a break while learning a bit about the recent regional activism and advocacy that has transformed an old steel rail bridge and car-centric culture into increasingly safe and fun spaces for bike riding, bike community, and people-powered mobility of all kinds.

The Route: This no-drop ride – less than 16 miles total – we will then loop back to Haverford College, where participants will have the opportunity to hear from some excellent speakers, connect and build community, and enjoy a post-ride meal.
