Lincoln Drive Clean-Up

This event was originally scheduled to be our Annual Creek Clean-up, but due to weather concerns, we’ve moved our Lincoln Drive clean-up to this date instead. If you were already registered for the creek clean-up, your registration rolls over.

Parking in the paved lot along Lincoln Drive is not recommended, as it is the site of frequent car break-ins. Regardless of where you park, be sure to refrain from leaving any valuables in your car.
Please note that there will be bathroom access during the service day.
We have very exciting plans for this service day. We will be closing Lincoln Drive (the only main road that runs right next to the creek within Wissahickon Valley Park) from Wissahickon Avenue down to Ridge Avenue for a large-scale litter clean-up. Come help us make this often travelled section of the park cleaner!
All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Litter clean-up: carrying trash bags up to 20 lbs
• Hiking up to 1 mile (we’ll be traveling up and down Lincoln Drive picking up trash)
• Repetitive motions
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction—you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you. Detailed information will be sent by email the day before the event. If you are hoping to bring a group of 5 or more people, please reach out to us first.
