Liberty, Freedom, and Social Justice Printmaking Workshop with Lori Raggio

May 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This event will be held as part of Mural Arts Philadelphia’s Printmaking by the People project.

In this workshop, Liberty, Freedom, and Social Justice, we will discuss the words “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness” to create a dialogue of what Freedom and Social Justice mean in relation to the Declaration of Independence.

We will then take our ideas and express them visually through prints made using Gelli plate. This event will be led by Lori Raggio and held as part of Mural Arts Philadelphia’s Printmaking by the People project.

Printmaking by the People is a city-wide project that will help commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration by asking Philadelphians the question, if the Declaration were to be written today, what rights would you want it to include? Come join us and have a chance for your work to serve as inspiration for an upcoming mural and to be shown in an exhibition at the Free Library!
