Support blew is build out her community wellness cafe in the Germantown Neighborhood of Philadelphia!

d’griot (pronounced “duh-gree-o”) stands as a vibrant homage to the rich heritage of African storytellers and the dynamic pulse of urban culture. This holistic café and community haven invites visitors to immerse themselves in a tapestry of past, present, and future narratives. Offering natural medicinal products, nutrient-rich food and beverages, and a gallery showcasing local artists, d’griot is more than just a place—it’s a movement. It is a space where stories come alive, creativity flourishes, and communal bonds are strengthened. With a commitment to uplifting the local economy and amplifying the voices of nearby black and brown communities, d’griot is currently thriving as a gallery, event venue, and catering service. By fostering authentic and beautiful spaces, it nurtures an environment for education, creativity, and mutual support. In a world that urgently needs more healing spaces, d’griot stands out as a beacon of holistic living, interwoven with the belief that our destinies are interconnected, echoing the profound wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Use of Funds Raised

D’Griot plans to use its funds to enhance its bar, back kitchen, and outside garden. This expansion aims to increase monthly revenue from $5K to $30K by fostering daily connections with neighbors. The project will create jobs and offer a positive community space for healing and connection, contributing to the local economy and social fabric.
