🎶 Celebrate International Blues Music Day at the Lansdowne Farmers Market! 🎶
Join us for a soulful Saturday of food, family fun, and fantastic live music at the Lansdowne Farmers Market as we celebrate International Blues Music Day!
On Saturday, August 2, from 9 AM to 1 PM, Veterans Landing will come alive with the sounds of the blues, the aroma of fresh local eats, and the joyful energy of a community gathering in full swing.
Enjoy live performances from local legends G3Soul and The Philly Blues Kings, explore vibrant creations by our Artist of the Week, Christina Wills, and let the little ones get creative with free kids’ activities. Plus, we’ll have special music-themed guests and a full lineup of local vendors.
🎵 Full Schedule
- 9 AM – 1 PM Local market vendors and special guests open for your shopping pleasure.
- 9 AM – 1 PM Kids Craft Tent: Littles can make their own DIY instruments to take home.
- 10 AM – 11:30 AM G3Soul takes the stage with a selection of the bluesiest hits. One of the most versatile tenors in the region, G3 (Chris Cross) has been delighting blues audiences for decades.
- 12 PM – 1 PM The Philly Blues Kings will take over the music tent for the final set of the day. This powerhouse band features an all-star lineup of blues talent. Leading the group is internationally acclaimed frontman Clarence Spady on guitar and vocals. He’s joined by Mr. Saxman Frank McKitty on tenor saxophone, Hammond organ virtuoso Joey Stout on keys and vocals, and stunning alto vocalist and guitarist Kate Gaffney. Rounding out the group is the formidable rhythm section of Jamey Reilly on bass and Paul Albrecht on drums. Together, they bring a dynamic and deeply soulful sound sure to close the day on a high note.
Whether you’re a blues aficionado or just looking for a great way to spend a Saturday, this event promises something for everyone.
