July Open House

July 9 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

Join the NextFab community at our monthly Open House! Tour our spacious facility, meet our talented members, and discover how you can turn your ideas into reality. Explore our specialized shops – including textiles, jewelry, woodworking, and more – and learn about our membership options, classes, and how NextFab can support your creative journey.

Each month, we highlight specific members, resident artists, and partners from our community. Evening tours are available, with light drinks and refreshments provided!

This Month’s July Highlights:

  • July Repair Fair: Give your broken items a second life at the Fixers Guild’s Repair Fair! Get hands-on help fixing jewelry, furniture, appliances, and more. (Check their guidelines before you go!)
  • Opening Reception: Philadelphia @250: Living Room is a two‑month exhibition featuring work by artists who both live in Philadelphia and produce their work inside NextFab’s fabrication studios. As the city celebrates its 250th year, we wanted to create a show that feels like a “living room” of local creativity—intimate, handmade, and rooted in the stories and materials that define Philadelphia’s artisan community. The show brings together makers working across craft, sculpture, design, and creative technology—people whose practices are shaped by the neighborhoods they live in and the shared workspace they create within. It’s very much a portrait of Philadelphia’s creative ecosystem at this moment.
  • WARP Residency Sneak Peek: What have the Museum for Art in Wood’s Windgate Artist in Residency Program (WARP) residents been working on? Join us for this special show-and-tell event as part of NextFab’s Second Thursday festivities. They’ll discuss the various woodworking projects and designs they’ve been busy with during the residency.
