Journeywork Summer Solstice Evening with Jenny Rose Carey
Journeywork is excited to welcome Jenny Rose Carey as the speaker for our inaugural Summer Solstice Lecture. She will be sharing stories of her experiences gardening with nature. Jenny is the author of Glorious Shade and The Ultimate Flower Gardener’s Guide. She and her home gardens have been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Wall Street Journal, and on the PBS series The Victory Garden. She is the former senior director of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s Meadowbrook Farm in Jenkintown and former director of the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University.
Bring lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy this outdoor talk at Gwynedd Friends Meeting. Jenny will also lead a short “walk and talk” about native plants on the meeting grounds. Enjoy refreshments and conversation in the field as the fireflies come out.
