Learn the what, why, and how of science-based mindfulness meditation in this beginner friendly presentation.

About the Program

Scientific research shows mindful meditation can relieve stress, pain, and other negative thoughts. Join Maceo Hood, a certified Mindfulness Facilitator from the Institute for Organizational Science and Mindfulness, to learn about the science of mindful meditation. A brief practice session will follow. Sign-up is not required but appreciated all the same.

About the Presenter

Maceo Hood began practicing Transcendental Meditation in the 70’s while a student at Lincoln University, PA. In the years since, he earned his Master degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from the Indiana University of PA and his certification as a Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute. Maceo’s experiences as a senior HR practitioner for the last 25 years primarily in organizations that were experiencing change and restructuring led to his interest in employee psychological safety and wellness. Most recently Maceo earned his certifications in Mindfulness Leadership as well as Mindfulness Facilitation from the Institute for Organizational Science and Mindfulness (IOSM).
