Innovative Flax Fiber Components
Creating a stronger more sustainable society
The Museum for Art in wood is hosting PA Flax Project (Philadelphia, PA) and Common Object Studio (Baltimore, MD). This dynamic group will come together to talk about the many industrial uses of fiber flax, scaling production in the mid-atlantic, and flax as the alternative to toxic building materials and textiles. There will be an array of samples from linseed oil to linen for participants to handle and learn about.
This interactive event is an exciting peak into the progress of the fiber flax industry in our region. We welcome interior designers, architects, people in the textile industry, artists, building contractors and sustainable developers and community members passionate about real change towards a sustainable future.
