PHS has trained more than 6,000 people who have gone on to lead volunteers in planting over 2,000 trees each year. Philabundance was founded with the simple belief that no one should go hungry while healthy food goes to waste. In addition to food distribution, we reduce food waste, increase access to nutritious meals, and tackle the root causes of hunger through programs such as the Philabundance Community Kitchen. With a mission of relieving hunger today and ending hunger for good, Philabundance provides over 52 million pounds of food and 400,000 ready-to-eat meals reaching 600 community-focused partners across nine counties. Philadelphia Rebuild Site at 8th and Diamond Playground is a 0.7-acre site that features playground equipment, a picnic area, and basketball courts.
