Ayurveda is a lifestyle that gives you practical tools to care for yourself in a way that promotes your individual healthy metabolism. It is a 5000 year old medical practice that is having a resurgence in India and increasing in popularity in the US. If you have seen botanical supplements, such as Ashwagandha and Triphala, or noticed restaurant menus that advertise adaptogens, then you have been exposed to Ayurveda. Pam followed a typical Biomedical PhD career with research focussed on the Brain-Gut Connection. With talented colleagues in Pharmaceutical R&D (Spring House PA), this led to a new medication for patients suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She became certified as an Ayurvedic Digestive Health Coach and decided to dedicate her full attention to helping people improve their health by founding my company, Giv – Gastrointestinal Vitality LLC. She coaches clients by combining Ayurvedic principles with commonsense biological concepts, in a way that empowers them to make simple but effective lifestyle changes leading to greater satisfaction in their well-being.
