Getting Ready for Garden Hibernation

At the beginning of fall, it is time to start thinking of how to prepare your garden for the winter.
This class will focus on preparing your garden for winter and will highlight gardening practices that support wildlife during the dormant months. From evaluating garden beds to thinning and dividing plants, re-establishing bed lines and seeding plants directly into the soil, participants will be guided through a checklist of fall tasks that can be implemented in the home garden. Through a garden walk, demonstrations, and tool review, participants will learn how to balance being thoughtful towards wildlife in your fall tasks, while also making the best decisions for your garden for springtime.
