Featured Artists
Valisa Chanel – Valisa Chanel is a multi-disciplinary, self-taught artist with work ranging from digital to traditional, most of which focuses on Black women and her personal experiences. She particularly enjoys drawing with graphite, colored pencil, markers, and more. Her art is an extension of who she is, a reflection of her soul and personage beyond what she is able to express by other means.
What Lies Beneath – Welcome to What Lies Beneath (WLB), the art and craftsmanship of South Jersey artist Zack Carr. WLB is a fusion of Zack’s favorite imagery, styles, and mediums, blending dark aesthetics with street art influences. Lately, he’s been captivated by linocut printing and is driven to create the dopest art possible. Come discover What Lies Beneath!
Kaya Proctor – Kaya Proctor is a self-taught painter originally from Pittsburgh, now rooted in Philadelphia after years of living and working across the Northeast region. With a decade-long career as a film and television producer, Kaya turns to painting as a slower, more tactile form of storytelling and self-expression. Her work draws on the primal simplicity of cave drawings and the intricate narratives of ancient pottery, interpreting the human form through bold silhouettes, deliberate line work, and layered textures built with unconventional materials.
Rugged Imperfections – Emily Autumn is a multimedia artist whose primary focus is textile design using a tufting machine. She also creates large abstract paintings and freestyle paintings that encourage a spark in critical thinking. Based in Philadelphia, she is an art teacher who finds fulfillment in fostering a space for kids to build their own confidence in creativity.
Drew LeVan – Drew LeVan is a graphic designer and pen-and-ink illustrator with a strong focus on typography and lettering. His work blends digital design with the tactile quality of hand-drawn illustrations, creating pieces that are both visually bold and deeply personal. Much of his art is shaped by advocacy for mental health, social justice, and human rights. These themes appear throughout his work to spark dialogue, challenge stigma, and encourage empathy. At its core, his creative process is about using visual communication to connect people and inspire change.
Emotional IQ – Genesis Rodriguez is a Latina artist, inspired by her Puerto Rican and Dominican roots. Her hard-working family, primarily led by women, nurtured her artistic passion from a young age. Mainly working in oil mediums, she enjoys blending vivid colors and reality, citing emotional intelligence and inspiring her artist name, Emotional IQ. Her work often explores themes of femininity, natural beauty, and identity, shedding light on bits and pieces of her inner thoughts.
Featured Live Music
DJ Heat___wav – In his 10+ years of DJ-ing and production experience, Heat___wav honed a passion for live blending songs, original remixes, and tinkering with all musical genres and instrumentation. Since hitting the scene of Temple University’s house party & cookout circuit, he’s played gigs alongside local acts such as PNB Rock and DJ Vic B. With a comfortable grasp on the diasporic genres of Hip Hop, Dancehall, R&B, AfroBeats & Amapiano, his sound aims to provide a frictionless journey through contemporary rhythms, familiar vocals, and the overlapping space between songs.
