Plastic is not a viable long-term solution for the items we throw away often. Do you want to learn about fungi-based alternatives? Come join Christian Kustra a mechanical engineer and Philadelphia Mycology Club volunteer to discuss mycelium biomaterials, a durable, fire resistant, biodegradable technology. Learn how they are made, how they compare to existing materials, and how they are used in products today.
The Philadelphia Mycology Club is a 100% volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Club’s mission is to study, collect, and document fungi; to foster accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity through educating the community on fungi; and to steward the land and advocate for fungal conservation.
