Forested Buffers Training for Conservation Professionals

Join us for an in-person workshop at Stroud Water Research Center as we take a deep dive into the fascinating world of stream ecology and discuss the importance of riparian forest buffers.
You’ll get to explore the intricate ecosystems that exist in and around streams near the Stroud Center and hear from our watershed restoration experts. Topics will include:
Stream ecology and riparian forests.
Streams and stressors. 
Strategies for recovery.
The latest research on buffer restoration methods.
By participating in this workshop, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the vital role riparian forest buffers play in maintaining water quality, protecting habitats, and supporting diverse aquatic life. You’ll also learn about the latest research and conservation efforts being carried out at Stroud Water Research Center.
