Przemek will give insight on how to incorporate native plants into a designed area and will discuss plant selection and placement.
Instructor Bio
Przemek Walczak has been a Chanticleer Horticulturist since 1996. Over the course of 20 years, he has developed a native woodland garden along Bell’s Run Creek. The garden area needed soil remediation, tree canopy restoration, an understory, and an herbaceous plant layer. He also designs and builds water features, bridges, ornamental railings, and fences. Przemek holds an M.S. in Agriculture and Economics from the University of Life Sciences in Warsaw, Poland and he started his career in horticulture at the Center for the Preservation of Historic Landscapes in Poland. After relocating to the US, he continued his arboricultural studies at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania.
