Exploring Light in Watercolor: A Plein Air Experience

This immersive 3-hour plein air workshop will focus on the dynamic interplay of light in watercolor. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to observe and capture the subtleties of natural light in your watercolor paintings.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Introduction to Light in Watercolor: Begin with a brief overview of how light interacts with color and form in watercolor. Learn about key concepts such as light source, shadow, and reflection, and how to apply these principles to your plein air work.
  • Outdoor Painting Session: Learn how to focus on a scene and find an effective composition with the help of a view finder or your phone and start sketching and painting. Focus on capturing the effects of natural light on your subject will be emphasized to come up with a dynamic painting.
  • Personalized Guidance: Receive individualized feedback and tips from the instructor as you paint.

Whether you’re a seasoned watercolorist or just starting out, this workshop will deepen your understanding of light and enhance your plein air painting skills, regardless of experience.
