Discover the Wissahickon: Toleration Trail Hike

Meeting at White Trail Entrance (W Hortter St and Park Line Drive)
Our Discover the Wissahickon hike series is presented by Newrez.
Join Trail Ambassadors Eric Dahlberg, Courtney Malley, Amy Hirsch, and Chris Unander on a hike in the south section of the Park. We’ll pass by the Toleration statue, Kitchen’s Lane Shelter, and Historic RittenhouseTown. This moderately difficult hike has some rocky trails and steep elevation changes.

Parking and Transit: If you’re driving, there should be plenty of free street parking along Park Line Drive. Remember to never leave valuables behind in your car. If you’re taking transit, our location is serviced by the 53 and 65 buses. See map for details.
Bathrooms: There is a composting toilet at Kitchen’s Lane about halfway through our hike.
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain, extreme heat, muddy conditions, or icy conditions. Service animals are always welcome. For more information contact Marisa Miller at miller@fow.org.

On these hikes, our knowledgeable Trail Ambassadors will lead participants on an exploratory journey through the Wissahickon.
