“A deeply American story/film documentary about the legacy of mass incarceration. Kristal Bush, who has watched nearly every man in her life disappear into prison, channels her struggle into reuniting other Philadelphia families divided by the correctional system.”
A Woman on the Outside

This second forum is a part of a yearlong series building pathways from the trauma of plantation to prisons to the ultimate building of healing spaces for the black family of African descent. We invite back community, activists, family, professionals to discuss the pathway from historical wounding to healing inclusive of new institutions, policies, and sustainable cities.
Through the film “A Woman on the Outside‘ and panel discussions the community will unpack the systemic/institutional roadblocks as well as begin to create a roadmap for building trauma informed ecosystems of generational healing.
